Team Sask Rips Up the Gorge 2008

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

A large crew made the journey to the gorge and have not been disappointed. About a dozen of the saskies made the pilgrimage to the Mecca at Hood River. So far we have sailed 6 out of 5 days, with a bonus day from getting to sail as we pulled up to Doug's beach Saturday evening for a solid 4.7 session. We came back to doug's for a nuken 3.7 day on Sunday. Monday we chilled out and were patient to wait for an amazing 4.7 late afternoon, we unofficially renamed Doug's Beach to Sask Beach. It was like sailing back home 10 Sask rider and about 2 other people on the water. Taylor Guy and Shaun Bendig have nailed there first Jibes. Tuesday to Thursday has been up and down with later 4.7 to 5.5 sessions at Doug's and the Hatch.

And to add to Dave's article above, our 8th day in a row was the best and was again at Doug's Beach (Sask Beach) with huge swell - huge wind - smallest sails - smallest boards - hero bottom turns - mega air - best crew. Stew
